Pocket Tracer privacy policy
Pocket Tracer is an Android app by SeekPi that draws the flight of a golf ball on videos you choose. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
In short: Pocket Tracer works entirely on your phone. It doesn't collect or share any personal data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and the app can't connect to the internet.
What the app keeps on your phone
- Videos you choose. When you pick a video or share one into Pocket Tracer, the app keeps a copy in its own private storage so it can trace and replay it. Tracing runs on your phone.
- Your traces. The ball flights the app finds, any corrections you make and your trace style settings are stored in the app's private storage.
- Videos you save or share. When you save a traced video, it goes to your gallery (in a Pocket Tracer album) or to a folder you choose. When you share one, it goes to the app you pick, and that app's privacy policy applies.
- Notifications. If you allow them, Pocket Tracer shows a notification while it traces and when your shot is ready.
What SeekPi collects
Nothing. SeekPi never receives your videos, your traces or any information about you or your phone. Pocket Tracer doesn't have Android's internet permission, so it can't send data anywhere.
Third parties
Pocket Tracer doesn't include advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services, and it doesn't share data with anyone.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your shots stay on your phone until you delete them in the app or uninstall it. Pocket Tracer doesn't back up your shots to the cloud, so uninstalling the app deletes them. Videos you've saved to your gallery or a folder are kept until you delete them there.
Children
Pocket Tracer isn't directed at children, and it doesn't collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
